SimpliVity made the Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work list for 2015. Congratulations team!
I talked back in September about our hypergrowth, hiring about 10 new team members a week, and how we welcome our new team member. We do it by sending flowers, having a CEO organized new hire seminar, and properly preparing each employee for their role. These are wonderful to be sure, but they are not what makes us a Top Place to Work.
We’re on the list because we focus on our team members. Here’s what some of them had to say on Glassdoor, an anonymous company review site:
“I can’t imagine a better place to be challenged and to develop one’s career. Everyone works really hard as a team and we move the business forward at a rapid pace. There’s lots of transparency, so contributions are noticed and when mistakes are made we work together on how to be better. Processes and discipline create a superior execution machine at SimpliVity.”
Some team members love everything, even our one flaw:
“Very collaborative work place. Everyone is treated as an equal. No, “my cube it bigger than yours” attitudes like at other larger IT companies. The management is all about enabling instead of directing. Amazing culture. Free lunch and snacks. CON: weight gain from the free food!”
What I find impactful, though, is these stunning reviews come from not only current employees, but also many former employees. This one former employee said:

Just proves that treating your employees as teammates and moving forward with team goals pays off. In fact, the one piece of advice we hear from our team day after day is “Stick to the program. It works.” We plan on it. We will continue to produce not only the best disruptive product in the market, but also the best work environment for our amazing team.
