Once an alarm is triggered, a support case is automatically created and an alert is sent to SimpliVity’s support team to let them know there is a potential problem.
The engine continually monitors and analyzes over 100 system health indicators. When a particular event is noted or threshold triggered, it then displays the case-worthy and/or critical alarms to the support team. The attention to detail put into the system is extensive. There are currently over 90 different alarm types, and each alarm type has multiple health indicators associated with it, so the support team can readily handle any and all problems that may arise.
But the real benefit of OmniWatch is the time it gives back to IT administrators. Time is the most valuable resource in the data center, and because OmniWatch is always monitoring SimpliVity systems and checking its health, so you, as IT, don’t have to worry about doing it. You don’t have to toss and turn in the middle of the night, wondering what might happen in your data center while you’re gone. If an issue does arise, OmniWatch knows immediately and support can get right on the issue, in some cases, even fixing it before you get into the office. Or, our support team can work with you once a problem is detected to get your system back up and running without losing productivity. OmniWatch also has predictive analysis features which are being enhanced all the time. This means that OmniWatch can spot potential problems and communicate periodic information to make sure things never actually become full-blown support issues.
