At SimpliVity, we are always looking to expand our partner ecosystem with alliances that will deliver value to organizations around the globe. On January 25th 2016, we took another step forward in realizing this goal as we launched our Technology Alliance Program (TAP). The mission of the Technology Alliance Program is to support the joint development of innovative solutions that will solve customers’ most challenging business issues.
We started TAP with 21 partners and have seen steady growth, with ecosystem partners across many technology sectors. We have built strong relationships with key platform organizations such as Cisco, Lenovo, Dell, Intel, and VMware, among others. We continue to recruit partners, focusing on areas such as virtualization, security, and cloud.
VMTurbo, a virtualization management company, is a technology alliance that we’ve recently added to our solutions portfolio. The partnership between VMTurbo and SimpliVity offers customers fast migration from traditional to hyperconverged infrastructure, a resilient data center assuring application performance, improved virtualization utilization and reduced managed storage, and the tools required to easily monitor and maximize hyperconverged infrastructure.
“It’s an exciting time at both VMTurbo and SimpliVity to be able to deliver these capabilities to a diverse group of customers to help them simplify IT and maximize performance,” said Ben Yemini, Sr. Director of Product Marketing, VMTurbo, “we had the opportunity to present our joint solution with SimpliVity at Cisco Live in Las Vegas and are anxious to further develop our joint offerings.”
Data recovery is another sector of great interest to us here at SimpliVity. Our interest in data recovery is again illustrated in our partnership with TAP member, Kroll Ontrack. With cleanroom facilities worldwide and engineering expertise in every major global region, Kroll Ontrack has a very strong foothold in the data recovery and management sector. As part of the technology alliance, SimpliVity’s built-in data protection features leverage the leading search and recovery capabilities of Ontrack® PowerControls™ to simplify recovery of enterprise application data.
“The ability to restore items at the granular level has always been critical to business success, particularly at the enterprise level,” said Todd Johnson, vice president, data storage technologies at Kroll Ontrack. “As a result of our partnership with SimpliVity, enterprise customers with hyperconverged infrastructure are able to simplify the recovery and restoration of their mission-critical data from Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft SharePoint.”
SimpliVity has also turned its sights to the cloud and we have brought CloudPhysics on as the newest member of TAP. CloudPhysics empowers IT operations through better vSphere virtual machine management. Together, SimpliVity and CloudPhysics offer customers virtualization assessment to better optimize their data centers.
The Technology Alliance Program is continually growing, and we are always looking to expand the program with even more great partners. We continue to evaluate additional benefits we can offer our partners, including our SimpliVity Technology Showcase offerings. And while we build our partner ecosystem, we are also enhancing our current relationships, and utilizing our alliances to provide the highest value possible to customers and partners alike.
