Gartner-Creating an Effective Hyperconvergence Strategy

In a crowded market teeming with new entrants, hyperconverged systems are almost always declared by vendors as simple, economical, flexible, and easy to use. With everyone saying similar things about different products and solutions, it comes as no surprise that the true value proposition in hyperconverged systems is often missed in evaluations because of excessive hype among vendors.

Gartner notes, in their recent report, that many of their clients were confused about how best to make a decision that could have lasting positive (or negative) effects in their data centers, depending on the wisdom of their selection, so a framework of five key decision determinants was developed that can be used in hyperconvergence integrated system (HCIS) RFPs to arrive at the most appropriate selection.
